Clearer choices before the barber chair.
Mid Fade Edit helps readers understand haircut shapes, compare options and explain the result they want.
What these guides are for
A haircut name rarely settles every decision. Our guides separate top shape, fade placement, shortest finish and outline, then offer practical comparisons and example requests. The aim is to make a consultation more useful and the home routine easier to understand.
Advice is written for readers choosing a haircut, not as professional barber training. A diagram is a visual explanation, not a cutting template. A suggested routine is something to adapt to your own hair and tools, not a promise of a particular result.
How the content is produced
The current edition uses AI-assisted writing, checked against selected barber education and manufacturer references for technical terms. Independent review by an identifiable working barber has not yet been completed. We do not present this work as a human-written publication, claim client experience we do not have, or invent reviewer credentials.
Technical reading links identify supporting explanations or demonstrations. They do not imply that the source endorses this site. Example barber requests are original editorial suggestions rather than quotes from a real consultation.
What we include and what we leave out
We prefer clear trade-offs, practical steps and explanations of ambiguous names. We avoid universal face-shape rules, guaranteed styling times, invented prices and fixed maintenance schedules that ignore the reader’s preferences. A guard number is linked to the relevant manufacturer reference rather than presented as a complete haircut specification.
We revise a guide when terminology is misleading, a factual reference changes or the explanation does not answer the reader’s question. Publication dates alone are not evidence that a haircut is newly popular.
Photography policy
The current photographs are real licensed stock images. They are not AI-generated images or exclusive photographs commissioned by this site. Removing optional attribution does not transfer ownership to us.
Most images illustrate grooming and cutting processes. They are not verified examples of every named style, a single client’s before-and-after sequence or evidence that the photographed people endorse Mid Fade Edit. The guides distinguish process photographs from verified examples of specific haircuts.
Corrections
A useful correction identifies the page, the exact passage or photo and the reason it should change. A public editorial inbox has not yet been configured for this private edition. The owner can send corrections through the existing site-editing conversation.
